The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has published a small reminder for GST taxpayers about the mandatory nature of the HSN (Harmonized System of Nomenclature) code on all invoices. This reminder comes in reference to "Notification No. 79/2020 - Central Tax" which makes the GST HSN code mandatory on all B2B invoices w.e.f. April 1, 2021.
